Welcome aboard! Today you will see the natural splendour of Snowdonia (Eryri) and learn about the legends, culture and history of the old Kingdom of Gwynedd.
We head first for Beddgelert where you will learn of the legend of Gelert, the faithful hound. We then visit the National Trust’s Craflwyn to learn why there is a dragon on the welsh flag, before a scenic drive along the Gwynant Valley and over Pen Y Pass for stunning views of Yr Wyddfa ( Mount Snowdon). We will then spend some time in Llanberis with a picnic on the shores of Llyn Padarn.
After lunch we visit the beautiful Nant Ffrancon valley where you can watch people descending the fastest zipline in the world and take in the classic glacial scenery and towering peaks of the Glyders and Tryfan. We finish off our day with a visit to Betws Y Coed before returning down the Conwy Valley.

Notes: It has been known to rain in Snowdonia! Please wear suitable clothing and the itinerary may change if it is icy or particularly wet; no -one wants soggy sandwiches on their picnic! There is some walking involved; nothing too strenuous, but comfortable shoes are to be recommended. There are some steep steps for those who wish to see Dolbadarn castle. Our vehicle is not wheelchair accessible, but we can accommodate walking aids and have an extra small step to help you get on/off the bus. The trip involves quite a few winding roads, not ideal if you suffer from travel sickness.

We drive along the coast to Llanberis, the pretty lakeside village at the foot of Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon. )Here you have 3 ways to spend your 90 minutes;
#Walk up to Dolbadarn castle. A welsh built round keep castle with views up and down the beautiful Nant Peris valley.
#Visit the national slate museum. Demonstrations of slate cutting, the UK's largest water wheel and houses decorated as they were lived in by quarryment 170 years ago.
#Ride the Padarn lake railway; a steam train ride along the shores of the lake. # subject to availability. £10 extra.
We then drive up a breathtaking steep sided glacial valley to Pen Y Pass with photo stops along the way before heading along the historic A5 route to Betws Y Coed. You have 30 minutes here to enjoy the stunning river views or visit the many little shops.
We head home via Llanrwst and the bridge that dates from 1636.

Visit the most historic castle of Wales. Built as the Jewel in the crown of the Ring of Iron castles by Edward I, this has been voted the number 1 place to visit in North Wales.
The castle has been well restored, so join me as I walk you around the old kitchens, living areas and towers. Exhibitions in the castle explain the design of the castle and its important role in the history of Wales. Visit the room where the first Prince of Wales was born and see where King Charles was made Prince in 1969.
You get 30 minutes to wander through the cobbled streets of the old town and we also take to to Segontium, the old Roman barracks on the edge of the town.

Today you will be treated to one of the most beautiful parts of Wales, with a varied coastline, rich history and views to die for!
Stand underneath Menai Bridge to take in its scale and design before heading for a photo opportunity at Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwillllantysiliogogogoch!
We than head west, to a 5500 year old burial chamber and then on to the stunning coastal scenery of South Stack. The vertical cliffs are a birdwatchers paradise; you may even see some puffins!
Lunch is taken in beautiful Cemaes Bay on the north coast, before visiting the lunar landscape of Parys Mountain. Finally, we visit Beaumaris where you will have the choice of going inside the castle (this will cost £8.30 extra), or a stroll around the ancient town with a little time to pick up souvenirs or walk along the pier.
